We’re a New Zealand based, professionally organised league. Registration is free and there are events held at local bars and pubs throughout New Zealand each week.

KEV (THE BULLY) WON THE BIG TOURNY IN SYDNEY!

On the first weekend of November 08 Kev the Bully, Elton Templeton and myself made the trip over the ditch to the wonderful land of oz.. We started our journey on Friday arvo making our way up to Christchurch from Dunedin, when we arrived it was straight to the casino and to the tables for us.. (we had to do an all nighter because we needed to be at the airport at 5am.) As soon as we arrived in Sydney and bought our duty free! we boarded the train to head to our accommodation the boys thought it would be a good idea to let me be responsible to carry the alcohol but as we were heading through the busy train station somehow the bag with the jagermister fell to the ground leaving a very expensive puddle of dark liquid on the floor :( (sorry boys).... after we dropped of our bags we headed to the Casino to register for our Monday Tournament, after a long registration process we were all set to go and play at pokerdome all afternoon.. both Kev and Elton had success in the tournaments at poker dome with Elton making the money in 3 out of 4 games!!! After our full on day of poker and a good feed at poker dome Kev decided he would show us the ins and outs of King Cross (the seediest place in Sydney) When we got there, there was all sorts of interesting things to look at including a street fight! two guys going at it in the middle of the street, fists flying and blood everywhere, Elton and i had the best seats in the house at the front of the crowd of about 100 people! After the Cross it was time to hit the sack as none of us had had any sleep in about 40 hours! The next day was a free day Kev went to a car show and after Elton toured Sydney for a bit he and I headed over to Manly for a few beers and a burger.. was an epic night. Monday was the day of the big tourney so we made our way to the casino nice and early for a big feed at the all you can eat buffet! I went through 3 plates of food and then desert and Elton ate more prawns than I've had in my lifetime! The tourney was obviously a great success with Kev taking it down! He became chip leader when there was about 18 players left and from there on there was no stopping him, making a straight flush on the final table and knocking out player after player to leave him heads up with about a 10 to 1 chip lead.. he ended up taking out the tournament with 2c3c and a board of 3d10d10hKcJc against his opponents A2 offsuit. Congratulations KEV the Bully, He won $7000 cash and entry to the APPT main event which has a $3,000,000 prize pool! so if you see Kev make sure you wish him luck.. i will keep you informed as to how he goes. (We wont mention how Elton and I did in the tournament lol) So all up it was an awesome trip we all had a great trip and Kev is going back for the big one!

Finals start at 5pm Saturday the 22nd of November at the Dunedin RSA(United Services Club)

We will have another last chance qualifier Tournament starting at 3pm before the Monthly Main Event

We have started poker in Twizel!, so make sure you tell your mates to head along!
